Dr. Steven C. Keogh
Chiropractic Physician
Dr. Steven C. Keogh earned his Masters of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, graduating cum laude. Upon graduation, Dr. Steven began his teaching career as a professor of Anatomy & Physiology at a local community college in Kansas City, MO. In 2020, he enrolled at Cleveland University - Kansas City to pursue a doctorate in chiropractic. Simultaneously, he continued as a professor of Anatomy & Physiology teaching pre-nursing students at a local community college. Dr. Steven graduated in the spring of 2023 and then returned to Thief River Falls with his wife, Mikayla, to carry on the legacy of his family’s business, Altra Care. Dr. Steven is currently a professor of Anatomy & Physiology with Chamberlain University.
Throughout his career, Dr. Steven has maintained a strong interest in athletic performance, longevity, aesthetics, and regenerative medicines.
Dr. Steven L. Keogh, Chiropractic Physician
Dr. Steven Keogh was born and raised in Waubun, MN and attended the University of Minnesota Morris, where he did his undergraduate and a graduate of Northwestern Health Sciences University. Dr. Keogh graduated from NHSU with his Doctorate in Chiropractic. His internship was completed with Dr. Johnson, a Dr. of Chiropractic in Crookston, MN.
Dr. Keogh has thirty nine years of experience in Chiropractic healthcare with special interests in Myofascial release therapy, pain relief, pregnancy, and radiology. He is a member of ICPA (ICPA is a non-profit that supports chiropractic care for children and in pregnancy through training, public education and, evidence-informed research.).
In addition to his chiropractic practice, he continues to move forward in education and training in Acupuncture to soon provide the community of Thief River Falls with more choices for pain control.
Dr. Keogh is active in the community and has spent 39 years providing chiropractic care to the Thief River Falls and the entire Northwestern Minnesota region. Additionally, he has several office staff trained, takes pride in the care provided by the Altra Care Team. Dr. Keogh’s passion is driven by the bonds he builds with his patients over the course of their lives and the enjoyment he holds in keeping them healthy and well.
Dr. Keogh enjoys travel, spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and flying. He is involved with the local airport and supporting its growth in the area.
Stacy: Radiology, Chiropractic Assistant
Stacy has been employed at Altra Care for over 4 years. She is bubbly, efficient and compassionate. Stacy moved from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Thief River Falls and lives with Odie, her puppy.

Joined the Altra Care team over 3 years ago. Meckenzie has 2 adorable children, is a dedicated mother, and a "junk" antique lover!
